As a child when a teacher asked for a drawing of a happy scene my work always seemed to end up as some sort of car or truck. My love of cars and trucks made their way into most of my creative work and never quite got the reaction that I wanted. Seems that bright happy suns and trees were trendy at the time. Eventually I began drawing different subjects and found that what I loved most was the act of drawing itself. Creating an image that previously wasn't there.
After working successfully in public service, I decided that what I needed to do was create. I earned my degree in graphic design. The discipline interested me because I saw the field as a complete collaboration between art, marketing and visual elements.
Transportation design, Animation, Transformers, Europe, Mexico, Volkswagen, Time Pieces, Diesel Trucks, Exotic Sports Cars, Novels, Apple, Photography, Architecture and Natural Design.
I believe in specialized tools for the job. A pen for a letter, a hammer for a nail and the current version of Photoshop for efficient and powerful layouts. I work in tandem on both PC and Mac platforms, though I prefer Mac. I work in Adobe CS4 for print and web, can get into trouble in Visual Studio and various other programs on the PC. I've recently worked with a development team in Expression Blend 3 for Silverlight.
I have worked on various national accounts in Telecommunications, Auto, Financial as well as small businesses, start-ups and artists. Experience in print, interactive and motion design. Click here to download my résumé.
